1. Three or more coplanar parallel lines.
This picture shows a brick wall with white cement holding the bricks together. In the picture three lines are highlighted to represent the three parallel lines and the brick wall itself represents the plane. I found this picture on the internet. In the real world brick walls are used for many things like houses and buildings and it is very important that the bricks form parallel lines because if they didn't walls would be crooked.
2. Skew Lines.
This photo is displaying a jungle gym made out of straight pipes. The pipes that are highlighted represent two skew lines because the two lines will never intersect and are not parallel. This picture was found on the internet. In real life jungle gyms are generally used for children to play on.
3.Verticle Angles.
This is a picture of a window that is separated into small squares by white lines. Within the window there is a pair of vertical angles shown with the colored lines. I found this picture on the internet. In the real world windows are used to see out of along with letting a cool breeze and some light in.
4.Angle Bisector.
In this picture there is a dome shaped jungle gym made out of pipes in the shape of small triangles. As you can see the highlighted lines are pointing out one of the many angles that have been bisected by another pipe. This photo was found on the internet. In real life a jungle gym like this could be used for children to play at at a playground.
5.Line Perpendicular to a Plane.
A shelf holding books which represent a line is shown being perpendicular to a wall which represents the plane. The colored lines show the plane the shelf and the two intersecting. I took this picture in my house. In real life it is important that bookshelves are perpendicular because if they weren't the books wouldn't stay in place.
6.Congruent Acute or Obtuse Angles.
In the picture shades on a window are shown partway open with many congruent obtuse angles. The shades compared to the frame holding them in place is what is creating the obtuse angles. This is shown with the colored lines. This picture was also taken in my house. In the real world it is important the there can be obtuse or acute angles because without them everything would be a square.
7. Segment Bisector.
The picture below is displaying the out of bounds line being bisected by the 50 yard line, the colored lines point this out. I took this picture at severn's turf field. Segment bisectors are especially important on sports fields because they show the players and spectators where one half of the field ends and the next begins.
8.Supplementary Angles that are not a Linear Pair.
The photo below shows a crosswalk which includes many supplementary angles that are not linear pairs. One of these pairs of supplementary angles is shown with colored lines. This photo was found on the internet. In the real world many supplementary angles are formed by lines in many different places not just in crosswalks.
10. Non-congruent Alternate Interior Angles.
In the picture below a arial view of city blocks are shown on map. Within this photo there are non-congrunet alternate interior angles. One of these non-congruent alternate interior angles is shown with colored lines. This picture was found on the internet. In the real world, especially in cities there are many non-congruent alternate interior angles formed by roads.
